The Franklin Square Historical Society was founded in 1976 as an invaluable community resource by its current President Paul van Wie, Ph.D. The society has a collection of hundreds of artifacts and a photography archive which will in part eventually be on display in the exhibit spaces of our new museum to open in 2018.

On October 28, 2020 the Franklin Square Civic Association asked our Society to be a guest on a video session to tell the community about the museum progress. Dr. Paul van Wie and Nancy Youngfert were able to talk about all the recent progress on the museum and also showed some of the newest additions to our artifact collection.
There were over 40 people watching on the internet the meeting!
